Weblogs and websites about travel are the focus this month.  Literary Traveler and JourneyWoman were early web travel publishers. I am surprised to see that Literary Traveler no longer includes a byline for writers who contribute articles.

Back in the day, when it was only published on paper, I scoured Transitions Abroad for budget travel lore.   Wrote for them too. , Outpost, Outside and Backpacker are mags on paper and online.   Sometimes, can't help but sink into 'been there, done that, read that already' mode.   Granta remains fresh, still surprises.

The helpful travel site 52PerfectDays provokes this question:  Why not 365 perfect days or at least 108? Which brings to mind other e-zones with numbers in the titles. 2Camels, 3PD, Area51, Site59.

Online travel webzines and blogs like World Hum, Rolf Potts' Vagabonding, Perceptive Travel, Cultural Survival, GoNomad and Get Lost catch my attention from time to time.  I've met or e-chatted with the publishers.

I wonder what happened to Motion Sickness magazine?  Any other off the beat travel zines we should know about?
